Chief Flight Instructor
Austin Perry became North Georgia Aviation’s Chief Flight Instructor in late 2023, but his journey to the skies wasn’t a straight path. Born and raised in Gainesville, he explored business ownership and considered a career in physical therapy before realizing his true passion lay in aviation. Drawn to the challenge and performance-based nature of flight training, he embraced the fast-paced world of aviation with the same work ethic that fueled his success in sports, business, and beyond.
Since joining NGAV, Austin has combined his skills in leadership and business development to help expand training opportunities, most recently designing an Accelerated Instrument Program launching in early 2025. Dedicated to both his students and the growth of the flight school, he finds inspiration in every takeoff and landing.
Outside of aviation, Austin enjoys hunting, fishing, boating, and anything outdoors. If you see him around the flight school, don’t hesitate to say hello—he’s always up for a good conversation!
