Zach Carter

CFI & Line Crew Director

Following in the footsteps of his grandfather who flew in Vietnam, as a commercial pilot, and as a test pilot for Gulfstream Aerospace, Zach began his own aviation journey as a high school intern with Gulfstream Aerospace in flight operations. He earned his Private Pilot Certificate (PPL), Instrument (IFR), and Commercial Pilot Certificate (COM) ratings at Middle Georgia State University, where he graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Aviation Science and Management. Zach began working for NGAV as a lineman while he earned his Certified Flight Instructor (CFI) rating and looks forward to growing as a pilot and instructor. Zach appreciates the “mom and pop” feel of NGAV and loves coming to work every day, making North Georgia Aviation a true home away from home. When he isn’t working, Zach enjoys hunting with his dog, fishing, archery, hiking, and working out. He has been skydiving multiple times; though, thankfully, that training did not become necessary the time he was invited to meet former President Barack Obama and tour Air Force One.
